Mattte Black Ceramic Slow Feeder — Eat Slower, Clean Easier

Mattte Black Ceramic Slow FeederFrom S$62Shop

Eat slower.
Clean easier.

Most slow feeders focus on making them eat slower — but they're hard to clean: narrow grooves, 90° corners, no room for fingers or sponges. We widened the grooves and rounded every corner, so you'll actually want to wash it after every meal.

Where the design began

Easy to clean. That's the point.

Every slow feeder obsesses over slowing them down.
No one thought about how to wash it.

Narrow grooves, tightly-packed ridges, 90° corners — no room for fingers or a sponge. The result: owners wash it less often than they should, or spend twice as long each time. Leftover food and saliva become the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.

We believe: easy to clean means it gets cleaned more often, and more cleaning means a healthier pet. So we redesigned the groove geometry from scratch — wider spacing, every corner rounded, so fingers and sponges glide all the way through. Cleaning friction, minimized.

Wider grooves, rounded corners, no dead ends.

The narrow grooves and sharp corners on a typical slow feeder are the hardest spots to reach when cleaning; food residue gets stuck in the seams, and over time it smells and breeds bacteria.

We widened the spacing of every groove and rounded every corner inside the bowl into a smooth curve — fingers and sponges glide naturally through every channel. A quick rinse after each meal, clean in seconds.

Black clay

Natural black clay outside,
food-grade glaze inside.

The bowl's exterior keeps the natural color of black clay, left unglazed — the clay itself resists mold naturally, with a dense, quiet matte texture that pairs beautifully with the slender stainless stand.

The interior is finished with a food-grade glaze — smooth, acid- and alkali-resistant, and odor-free, tested to SGS heavy metal leaching standards, the same safety requirements as human tableware.

Natural black clay is difficult to work with — high in metal oxides, prone to warping and uneven shrinkage during firing, with a very low yield rate. We rebuilt stricter standards starting from the clay preparation itself, keeping deformation within tolerance so we could produce it reliably at a reasonable cost.

three times the weight, three times the stability.

Others use bamboo or wood — prone to mold, and it loosens over time. We use a solid 304 stainless steel column, CNC-machined and threaded together. No mold, no rust.

It weighs about three times a typical wood stand, lowering the center of gravity so the bowl stays put during meals. The stand offers two heights — 43mm low, 60mm high — raising the bowl for a posture that's easier on the neck and digestion for cats and small-to-medium dogs.

FAQ.

Yes. The ridges and grooves inside the bowl force them to eat around the pattern, bite by bite, which naturally slows them down. Especially helpful for cats and dogs prone to gulping, vomiting, or bloating from eating too fast.

Standard slow feeders make the grooves narrow and dense to slow down eating, with 90° corners that leave no room for fingers or sponges. We redesigned the groove geometry entirely: wider spacing, every corner rounded, so fingers and sponges glide all the way through. Cleaning without friction means you'll actually want to do it after every meal.

The exterior is natural black clay, unglazed, keeping its raw mineral color — the clay itself naturally resists mold. The interior is finished with a food-grade glaze: smooth, acid- and alkali-resistant, odor-free, and tested to SGS heavy metal leaching standards, meeting food-contact safety requirements (the same standard as human tableware). This black clay is high in metal oxides and prone to warping during firing, with a very low yield rate — we rebuilt our clay-preparation standards to make stable production possible.

No. We use solid 304 stainless steel, unlike bamboo or wood stands that mold and loosen. The column is CNC-machined and threaded together for a solid structure; at roughly three times the weight of a wood stand, its low center of gravity keeps the bowl steady during meals.

The stand offers two heights: 43mm low and 60mm high. Raising the bowl means they don't have to lower their head and strain their neck to eat, which is easier on the neck and digestion for cats and small-to-medium dogs, and reduces the risk of choking.

The small size (Ø150mm) suits most cats and small dogs; the large size (Ø175mm) suits medium-to-large dogs or pets with bigger appetites. If you're unsure, most cat owners choose small and dog owners choose large.

Yes. The slow feeder and its matching water bowl are both available separately, and there's also a "slow feeder + water bowl" set — same black clay and stainless stand, for a tidier matched pair.

Yes. Both the ceramic bowl and the 304 stainless stand are dishwasher safe — we recommend washing them separately to make sure the joint gets fully clean. The ceramic bowl is also microwave-safe. And because the grooves are wide with no dead corners, even hand-washing is quick and thorough.
